The story began in 1985, when Werner Zimmerli worked his first Winter season in Mürrens iconic StägerSport, as a Ski technician.

This marked the beginning of a wonderful journey. Over the years, Werner became an invaluable part of the team, immersing himself into the daily operations of the Store, absorbing the nuances of the sport industry and developing a deep passion, especially for winter sports.

In 1995 Werner became the Business owner of Intersport Mürren-Schilthron, which used to be known as Stäger Sport.

Under Werner’s leadership, Intersport Mürren-Schilthorn has expanded into a hub for Ski and Outdoor enthusiasts. His vision extends beyond offering a wide range of technical equipment, fashionable clothing, and accessories; he aims to create an unparalleled experience for customers.

In 2020 his daughter Belinda joined the journey of Intersport Mürren-Schilthorn alongside a growing Team of motivated individuals. And so, the evolution of Intersport Mürren-Schilthorn continues, with the opening of InSport Coffee Bar in December 2022, and a new project on the horizon with the opening of a new rental location inside the Schilthornbahn Cable Car Station.

What once was a journey that started with one store, has grown into three unique stores, serving as a cornerstone for the community with a reputation that expands beyond retail. Intersport Mürren-Schilthorn has become a destination for people from near and far, Today, Intersport Mürren-Schilthorn stands as a testament to Werner Zimmerli’s dedication, vision and pursuit of excellence.
